Now, it's time to give democracy time to work. But while we wait, please check that your ballot has been accepted.

Step 1: Check Your Ballot Status

Here's What You Can Do While We Wait

Make sure your vote is counted! Here in California, we're fortunate to have an excellent online tool that allows us to check on the status of our ballots.

Check it out here.

To check the status of your ballot, all you need is your full name, your birthdate, and your zip code.

If the resulting screen looks like the image below (specifically with the message that your ballot is accepted), no action is required.

If you do not see a green circle with the word “Completed,” you should reach out to your county elections office to ask if you can resolve any outstanding issues with your ballot. Even though Election Day has passed, you may be able to get your ballot counted.
